Creative expression is infinite and there are no boundaries. There is no better way to illustrate that, than by trying different forms of art from around the world and across history. From Gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printing), to Pop Art, students will explore their own creative expressions through the lens of four, very different art styles. The class will allow students to try different techniques, while learning about their historical context. At the end of the fourth and final class, we will host a gallery show for friends and family. Students will be encouraged to give a brief presentation on one of their favorite pieces/processes. This 4 week class is provided by Morgan McCue, to see more of Morgan’s work you can view her website at morganmccueartist.com
